As I recall, the subscription rate was double the annual rate but the cost was better than the full year subscription. If you are and infrequent user, you could schedule CAD/CAM work for a month to complete a project and turn it off again. When first introduced, one of the subscription options was monthly where Fusion could be turned on and off by the month. As long as I ignore the upgrade messages and work locally, I hopefully will still be able to use it without the new restrictions.Ī comment for Fusion users. I kept the old version 7.2 (released prior to the Autodesk acquisition) on my computer. I use Eagle for my circuit board and beginning with version 8, it has been part of Fusion. Now I'm kind of glad that I didn't waste the time. Having a seat of SolidWorks and general inertia has kept me from becoming immersed in Fusion. Time may not be as critical of a factor for you now, but being able to crank out the projects is extremely pleasing. When Fusion 360 was first introduced, I specifically asked the reps about the free subscription for hobbyists and was emphatically told the full feature version would always be free for hobbyists. But, with more complex designs that require milling angled faces or many instances of a single operation (like a mounting board) you’ll really notice. In the short term the movement issue probably won’t matter, especially with the design you’ve shown. Then select the ‘create account’ option which will take you to the create account page, fill in the details. Simply go to the sign up page for the personal use license and click the ‘get started’ button. I use Fusion now for almost any design I do, whether it uses the CNC or not. Signing up for Fusion 360 for the first time is very straightforward. In my case, the relatively recent ability to integrate printed circuit boards into a design and then us the same tool to select one of many production flows (laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC milling, etc.) makes an enormous difference. It easily rivals Solidworks in 99% of all cases and keeps increasing the quality and quantity of offerings. In my opinion, Fusion is an incredible value and one of only 3 subscriptions I keep going. In my case, I purchased the annual subscription at the reduced locked in rate. Connectez l’ensemble de votre processus de développement des produits dans un logiciel basé sur le cloud qui vous offre des fonctionnalités intégrées de CAO 3D, de FAO, d’IAO et de création de circuits imprimés. I’m in the same boat as you, a retired hobbyist using Fusion 360 and Onefinity. Autodesk Fusion 360 est un logiciel tout-en-un de conception, d’ingénierie, d’électronique et de fabrication. The clear message from Autodesk is that Fusion 360 the widely used suite of CAD and CAM software will still offer a free-to-use non-commercial license for design and manufacturing work. Would I be better off with other software? Any insight would be much appreciated. How big of a limitation is this? Please understand that I have never used a CNC router, and am on the fence about buying one. (MOVES ARE AVAILABLE WITH A FUSION 360 SUBSCRIPTION.) (MOVES, WHICH CAN INCREASE MACHINING TIME. (RAPID MOVES IS REDUCED TO MATCH THE FEEDRATE OF CUTTING) (WHEN USING FUSION 360 FOR PERSONAL USE, THE FEEDRATE OF) To my surprise, I see this message within the Gcode: Thanks to many YouTubers and Forum posters, I was able to figure out how to make tool paths for surfacing, contouring, and pocketing under the “MANUFACTURE" tab and generated my first Gcode. Just for practice, I modeled a 6 cup coffee caddy. I am now considering ordering a OneFinity CNC Router and want to use Fusion 360 to design projects and generate Gcode. I have used the free version of Fusion 360 for 3D printing for several years and feel comfortable working under the “DESIGN” tab creating sketches, using extrudes, and exporting mesh files.
